Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Weeknight/Call Requirements: Evening call is required 1-2 times per week. Call starts after normal day shift ends (about 5pm)

Weekend/Call Requirements: 1-2 weekends per month (630a-630a) 24 hour call

Holiday/Call Requirements: 1 major and 1 minor

What is call response time : 30 min

Suites/labs: 3 suites

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Mixed lab so will see both Cath Lab and IR procedures to include some of the following: L & R heart Cath (interventional and diagnostic), EP studies, pacers, defibrillators, etc. IR procedures- PICC line placement, central lines, Swans, pleurovacs, stroke intervention, etc.

Job Duties:

  • Procedure set up, circulate procedure, administer sedation, monitor patient throughout the procedure, responsible for hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Important to note Cath/IR lab functions with 3 person team which will require RN to be responsible to provide procedural sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Hemodynamic monitoring is located outside of main procedure room in the control room. Control room includes a window so patient remains visible but will require nurse to float between procedure room and control room.

Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Mixed lab so will need Cath lab and IR experience to be successful.
