ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Focus on delivering high-quality DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation that support critical US Government programs.
- Apply comprehensive systems engineering principles across all phases of the systems lifecycle, ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Engage effectively with Government stakeholders, providing expert technical guidance on systems engineering matters and resolving issues proactively.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with project personnel, Government representatives, and senior executives.
- Maintain the technical integrity and quality of all work and deliverables in alignment with ISO/IEC15288 process areas, driving operational excellence.
- Develop and contribute to key systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, requirements specifications, and interface control documents, ensuring accurate project execution.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate project and ManTech team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II certification.
- Proven experience with DoD 5000.02 documentation requirements.
- Experience with use case development, requirements derivation, and management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality technical project artifacts.
- Familiarity with Agile software development processes and methodologies.
- Experience with software engineering processes and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering.
- Professional Certifications: Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP), or DAWIA Systems Engineering Level III.
Clearance Requirements:
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Ability to travel to various physical customer locations within APG as needed.
