About the Unit:

  • The Labor & Delivery unit is a 20 bed unit includes 3 triage rooms, 7 LDRs, 2 ORs, 3 PACU bays and 5 observation beds; high risk obstetrical unit with access to Level III+ NICU
  • Sinai Hospital earned national recognition for excellence in maternity care two years in a row (2021-2022 & 2022-2023) by U.S. News & World Report.
  • Our primary cesarean section rate has been reduced to 23-26% (Far below Maryland average of 34%)
  • Platinum-recognized leader in maternal hypertension care (MD PNGC)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
  • (BSN) preferred from CCNE accredited schools
  • At least 1 year of L&D experience is required
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification
  • ACLS & NRP are required to be obtained prior to orientation completion
