Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Neuro Tele
MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)
At least 1-year acute care experience (required)
Confidence with NIHSS skills and Q4 neuro checks (required)
6 months dedicated neuro experience (preferred)
Must be proficient with lab draws (required)
Every other weekend/major holiday required
Patient Population: Post CVA, TIA, SCI, TBI and some trauma, Myasthenia Gravis, MS patients as well.
Other: Most patients will be on q4 hour neuro checks including NIHSS assessments. Nurses will be required to draw their own labs including peripheral draws.
Ratios are never guaranteed but are what the unit typically attempts to achieve with normal staffing.
6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
Critical Care Course (preferred)
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 2 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
Proof of identification required for submission

• CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
• PCCN (Progressive Care Nursing (Adult))
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
