Job Summary

As Engineering Specialist, you will manage manufacturing processes for heat shrink tubing, lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D, write technical documentation, execute process validation activities, lead cost reduction projects, collaborate effectively across the organization, communicate through various methods, and adhere to quality and compliance standards.

Job Description

We are looking for a Engineering Specialist. This position will be a full-timeand onsite contract opportunity in Wilsonville, Oregon.

What You’ll Do

  • Ownership of manufacturing processes related to the production of heat shrink tubing

  • Perform root cause investigations and execute corrective actions for non-conforming products using analytical tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D

  • Write technical documentation, such as process instructions, process validation plans and reports, process development plans and reports, and non-conforming material reports

  • Execute process validation activities following the IQ, OQ, and PQ approach

  • Lead cost reduction projects in cross-functional teams

  • Collaborate effectively with others across the organization to collectively achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).

  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, non-verbal, and visual methods

  • Adhere to quality and compliance standards to ensure safe and effective use of the products TE manufactures

What You'll Need

Required

  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

  • 5 or more years’ experience supporting a manufacturing environment required

  • Track record of project completions that deliver business results

Preferred

  • Experience with polymer processing (extrusion, molding, etc.)

  • Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

The pay range for this position is $XXX- $XXX per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
