Job Description:
Release Train Engineer
Responsibilities
- Plans and facilitates Agile Release Train activities, including PI planning, coach syncs, system demos, and inspect & adapt events
- Maintains JIRA and other information radiators for the ART
- Collaborates with customers and end users to understand business requirements
- Acts as a liaison between development teams and product management, ensuring that appropriate project process is made
- Identifies and resolves impediments that slow development or prevent the ART from meeting established goals or milestones
- Motivates teams to perform and ensures teams are collectively responsible for all aspects of the committed work (analysis, development, testing, documentation, etc.)
- Provides reports based on ART capacity and how the ART is preforming against capacity
- Coaches and teaches lean-agile skills to members of the ART
- Works independently under limited supervision
- Creates budgets, capacity plans, roadmaps, and forecasts
Required Skills
- Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in SCRUM and SAFe
- Has expert knowledge of Scrum, SAFe, and other lean-agile frameworks
- SAFe RTE (Release Train Engineer) Certification or SAFe Practice Consultant Certification
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense and Power BI
- Demonstrable experience using metrics: velocity, throughput, cycle time
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Monte Carlo simulations
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or commensurate level of experience. Additional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Security Clearance Level: Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
