The Core IT Portfolio Principal is an influential contributor responsible for overseeing the financial investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy. This role partners closely with business and ETG delivery leaders to manage portfolio outcomes, drive value realization, and support informed decision-making. The IT Portfolio Principal leads financial tracking, process optimization, and the implementation of a data-driven framework to enable continuous portfolio management and transparent reporting. In collaboration with the Portfolio Execution Leadership team, this role facilitates governance communications, investment decisions, and conflict resolution with executive stakeholders across the organization.

Strategic Portfolio Management
- Partner with ETG delivery and business leaders to develop and maintain a strategic portfolio investment plan that aligns with technology strategy and maximizes business value.
- Lead the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of new demand using standardized business cases and proformas, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
- Collaborate with fellow portfolio principals to coordinate cross-portfolio priorities and ensure cohesive delivery across initiatives.
Governance & Financial Oversight
- Facilitate portfolio investment governance meetings, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Report governance changes and updates to the Investment Committee in accordance with established portfolio governance protocols.
- Monitor and validate portfolio financials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved budgets and forecasts.
- Track and report on portfolio performance metrics to assess value delivery and inform executive decision-making.
Execution Support & Risk Management
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Execution leadership team to resolve challenges and manage escalations effectively.
- Ensure timely fulfillment or escalation of portfolio resource capacity requests in partnership with the Portfolio Leadership Team.
- Partner with program managers, scrum masters, and project managers to monitor delivery execution, escalating risks, issues, and changes as needed.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key liaison between business and ETG executive leadership, delivering clear, data-driven insights to support investment and prioritization decisions.
- Participate in cross-portfolio communication updates, governance forums, and strategic planning sessions to ensure alignment and transparency.
Process Optimization & Enablement
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the portfolio process framework to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
- Deliver enterprise-level support for portfolio processes and tools, promoting standardization and best practices.
- Lead training and coaching efforts to build portfolio management capabilities across the organization.
- Ensure all portfolio documentation, artifacts, and records are accurately generated, maintained, and archived in compliance with governance standards.

Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business).
- 8+ years IT or business experience
- 5+ years of experience in program or portfolio management
- Experience leading large programs, including establishing effective governance structures, cross functional coordination, and executive stakeholder management and reporting
- Experience working with Agile / Scrum methodologies, experience using JIRA preferred
- Experience reviewing, identifying and implementing operations efficiencies / SOPs to optimize operations
- Experience helping companies define and measure value realization

- Experience in HR, regulatory, legal operations, finance, or accounting
