Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required from the last 4 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• Experience with Centricity is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:
- Level 1 Maternal and Newborn Care- well mothers and well
baby nursery; laboring patients for spontaneous labors, inductions of labor, and cesarean sections all
transitioning to full couplet care upon delivery. This unit also covers L&D triage, performs routine non-
stress tests, and inpatient/outpatient newborn hearing screens.
Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Oxytocin and mag
Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios: 1:1 laboring, 1:3 couplets. 2 RNs on per shift.
Required Skills/Experience:
-Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Minimum of one year Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, newborn nursery, and OB Triage. Prefer RNs have MedSurg experience and be willing to float to MedSurg.
Shift & Scheduling:
-Weekend Requirements: Minimum five weekend shifts per six week schedule period, may be more based on unit needs and staffing. Day shift weekend shifts are Saturday or Sunday. Night shift weekend
shifts are Friday and Saturday.
-Holiday Requirements: Yes- based on unit needs
- Is there a call or standby requirement: No.
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: RN receives two days of floor orientation in
addition to their POCT and Epic training.
Additional Notes: If unit has a census of zero or 1 may be the only OB nurse in house with the other on
call- will have support from the MedSurg team. This unit and MedSurg are only separated by a double
door so there is a lot of support between the 2 units.
Will require the candidates’ perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
