Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Teaching Hospital Experience - Required
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years
EPIC experience within the past 12 months - Preferred
Telemetry:
Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia Experience.
Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
Passing score of 80% or higher
Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass.
General Internal Medicine (F6/5): Fast paced Medical Unit
F6/5 also provides specialty care to patients with infectious diseases as part of its Special Pathogens program.
May also care for patients with infectious diseases as part of the special pathogens population.
Floating:
Will float to like units.
Travelers are first to float.
The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite
Other transportation options are available: bus, park & ride, private parking, etc.
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Orientation: 36 Hours
Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
Daily Census: 28 - 29
Patient Types: General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Special Pathogens
RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process.
Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required
1st Time travelers accepted in some units
Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to.
Orientation: UWH orientation is held every other week – typically on a Monday
Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change)
Orientation is typically about one week
14 days maximum time off
