Job Description
We are hiring a part-time Cardiology RN for our EP Clinic at the Plaza! This position provides post procedure and device care and monitoring. Coordinates hospital admissions and patient device education. Perform device evaluation and interrogation of all implatable device in clinic setting for all 4 metro locations and occasional outreach locations. Includes patient assessment, arrhythmia identification and device management. Performs OR ED and HF device checks. Reviews all lifevest tracings for SLCC and all direct referral holters, event recorders and MCOTS. Coordinates discharge and follow up plan with office staff as directed by the physician and APP to ensure that patients obtain follow up visits, device checks, protime visits and other treatments or tests as needed. Acts as a resource for non EP physicians and hospital nursing staff by answering questions regarding patient care, resourcing providers as needed. Subject matter expert and resource regarding EKG rhythm interpretation and device related questions.
Job Requirements:
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
KS & MO RN License required; if the ideal candidate does not possess dual licensure at time of offer, he/she may be given an offer contingent upon completion of dual licensure within 90 days of start.
Preferred:
ACLS
Minimum of three years of acute care nursing
Previous cardiac nursing experience preferred
Knowledge of general computer skills
Knowledge or obtain training on clinical equipment - EKG machine, Nuclear treadmill, pulse oximeter, cholesterol and coagulation test equipment
