- Schedule: 7P-7A, night shift. Full-time (36 hours). Requires every third weekend. This unit does self scheduling!

- Department: Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum unit (LDRP).
- Location: Kernersville Medical Center, Kernersville NC
- Unit Info: This unit opened in March of 2024, it's a low risk, 12 bed LDRP unit. Patients labor, deliver & recover in the same room. This team consists of RN's, Surg Techs, Lactation Consultants, and a dedicated OB Anesthesiologist as well as a 24/7 neonatal NP and respiratory.
The Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
