MANTECH seeks a motivated, career andcustomer-orientedMicrosoft Exchange Server Engineer to join our team inNorfolk, Virginia. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Set up and configuration of Microsoft Exchange Server Environments and optimizing for performance and security

  • Create, modify, and delete user accounts and mailboxes, including managing permissions and access rights

  • Regularly monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimizing configurations for efficiency

  • Apply updates, patches, and service packs to Exchange Server to ensure security and functionality. Implement and manage backup solutions, conduct regular recovery tests, and ensure data integrity

  • Develop and enforce security policies for email systems, including anti-spam and anti-malware measures

  • Manage user access and permissions to ensure compliance with organizational security standards

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Exchange Server, including Connectivity, performance, and user access problems

  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to email, calendar, print to email type functionalities

  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting, and generate reports on system performance, user activity for management review

  • Up to 25% travel Conus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on email systems and Exchange administration

  • Proven experience in managing and configuring Microsoft Exchange Servers

  • Proficiency in automating system administration tasks and processes using PowerShell

  • Familiarity with email protocols such as SMTP and IMAP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with U.S Navy Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment Network (STAVENET)

  • Experience with DISA STIGs, SRGs, and Navy RMF requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Cybersecurity

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Exchange Server Administrator Associate

Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and printer

  • Be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
