Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

FHM does not have to be AWHONN, will also accept NCC
Will care for high-risk patients such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and multiples (twins only). Day shift will do outpatient fetal stress tests. Nurses do it all: pre-labor/triage, delivery, post-partum, and nursery care. Willing to train in nursery and lactation skills. There are 2 RN/LCs on staff.
3 RNs always staffed on unit. RN should be able to independently provide care as no physician or anesthesia in hospital at nights or weekends. RN will attend c-section and will recover mom and baby. RN needs to have significant resuscitation experience for newborns.
May float to ER or Acute Care floor as a sitter and will not take a patient assignment. Ideal traveler is a self-starter, adaptable and open to coaching.
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.
At least two years of recent Perinatal Nursing experience required; 5 years or greater preferred. If a Barton employee wants to transition to practice in the Family Birthing Center, then minimum two years inpatient nursing experience will be considered.

• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
