Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
Block Schedules: No
Previous Charge Experience - Required
Call Required: 36 hours in 6 weeks, or 12 hours per pay-period.
Call Response Time: Must be on premises within 45 minutes after receiving call.
Every other weekend
Holiday coverage as needed
Required to Float to like units (i.e. Mom/Baby)
Travelers are required to float before permanent staff
Skills Required:
Circulate, FHM, preceptor and/or charge
Triage Experience - Preferred
Must have High risk L&D experience
Dress Code: Scrubs - Provided
Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request
Orientation: 36 Hours
Patient Population: Neonates, Adults
AWHONN certification is currently accepted as a placeholder.
RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.
No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment
Return Staff Policy: If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
• C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring)
• Advanced AWHONN FHM (Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring)
