Experience:
• 36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Manager to make the schedule, will work with block scheduling.

Floating Requirements: Peds MS, NICU- feeder-growers or could float to med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Psych units as 1:1 sitter or helping hands - first to float

- L&D Beds: 7 L&D
- Postpartum beds: 12 Postpartum, 8 Surgical
- OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 1 C-Section dedicated OR, 2 GYN surgical OR
- Triage beds: 3 bay triage (avg 17 patients/ month) allow travelers to triage based on experience
- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios L&D: 1:1-2, Postpartum: 1:2-3 couplets, 1:3-4 surgical/medical
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Obstetric, L&D, antepartum, triage, postpartum MgSo4, pre E Pregnancy, accept 23+ weeks; Gestational hypertension, Gestational diabetes, No cardiac intervention- they will take occasional higher risk patients, Post partum vaginal and c-section deliveries, hysterectomy, bladder repairs, mastectomies
Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: do expect them to jump right in, must be able to titrate drips
Are RNs required to titrate drips : Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin, mag, occasional Insulin drips
Do RNs scrub Yes, prefer if they are able to scrub
RN would be expected to read tele in Phase 1 recovery for c-section only (not a hard stop).
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Scrub Color/Dress code: surgical scrubs provided
Facility holidays: 12/25/2025, 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
