Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Orientation: 24 Hours
Patient Ratio: Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines: 1/1 for Intra, 1/1-3 for Antepartum, 1/3-4 for PP/MB
Types of Patients on Unit: 30+ weeks, will stabilize and ship out babies under 30 weeks
Required Skills/Experience:
-Must have some postpartum experience
-Must be comfortable working in both L&D and Postpartum
-Must have the ability to work with high risk patients
-Must be able to circulate in c-sections
-Will not accept travelers with only Critical Access Hospital experience
RNs required to titrate drips - Common: Pitocin, Mag, & Insulin; Prefer Insulin gtt experience, but willing to train on this
Telemetry: RNs are not expected to read and interpret their own tele strips, but should be able to identify a rhythm change, basic rhythms, and life threatening rhythms.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
-Prefer someone who has worked in a similar size L&D and PP/MB dept
ANM will make the schedule out 6 weeks at a time, and will consider block scheduling but does not guarantee it.
Shift & Scheduling:
-Per policy staff and travelers cannot work more than 5 shifts in a row
-Travelers are asked to stay flexible and help fill gaps in permanent scheduling
-Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend - Friday & Saturday
-Holiday Requirements: May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation
Floating Requirements: : L&D and PP/MB are primary units.
-Can be floated throughout the hospital for sitter shifts when necessary.
-Travelers are typically the first to float for sitter shifts.
Orientation: 3 days of orientation with a preceptor in L&D and PP/MB
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring) or the alternative certification Advanced AWHONN FHM (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses)
