Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a school nurse position serving elementary students, requiring recent school RN experience and a valid RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work setting is an elementary school
- Day shift schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Serves an elementary student population
- Floating to other school units may be requested based on facility needs
- Provide direct nursing care and emergency response to elementary school students
- Must provide a copy of Social Security card for consideration
- Prior permanent employees must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Requests for time off must be minimal with no more than 7 days total and preferred not to include an entire calendar week
- Locals are accepted at the same base rate
Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia or valid Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of school RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Specialty experience must be within the last year
- One supervisory reference is required for consideration
