Ultrasound Technologist

As part of our team, you will work alongside a dedicated group of professionals truly making a difference in the health and lives of the people of West Florida. We are currently seeking a staff Ultrasound Technologist on a part-time basis.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Sonographer may include but are not limited to:
· Operate a variety of diagnostic equipment in the Ultrasound Department to produce sonographic images
· Assist Radiologists during biopsies, paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures
· May perform ultrasound examinations in the operating theater
· Assist with the orientation of new personnel
· Possess overall knowledge of equipment and all safety guidelines
· Maintain proficiency in various computer software programs, telephone usage, hospital intercom system, numeric pagers, Physicians Portal and PACS
Qualifications:
· High School Graduate plus satisfactory completion of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in an ARDMS-approved school
· Valid ARDMS credential(s) in area(s) of specialty
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
