Department Overview
The Nursing Supervisor supports a dynamic team dedicated to delivering specialized psychiatric and substance use care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric units. Valley Springs is a 150-bed hospital designed with trauma-informed principles and built on a culture of collaboration, innovation, and respect. Our care model includes manageable nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:6-1:8), providing an environment where quality care and professional growth thrive.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing is required.
- License: Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in [State]; valid driver's license preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a behavioral health setting preferred; demonstrated leadership experience working with diverse populations, including chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and geriatric patients.
- Certifications: BLS/CPR required; CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Additional Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
