The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is part of Boston Children's Hospital, ranked as one of the top children's hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. We provide families with individualized treatment plans and access to more specialized care than any other hospital.

Key responsibilities:

Care for patients with complex GI disorders, as well as general GI patients.
Provide direct patient care in the clinic setting, facilitate patient flow, manage enteral tube, cecostomy and ostomy problems and other patient needs during clinic session.
Provide care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, health care team members and community agencies
Act as primary triage contact for patient questions, patient portal messages and phone calls. Assists with prior authorizations, school forms/letters and prescription refills. Collaborates daily with physician team and administrative staff.
Provide comprehensive patient education for patients with new diagnoses as well as those starting new treatments.
Identify patient educational needs and work with other team members on the development of educational materials and educational programs.
Plan, organize and oversee policies and procedures designed to improve the patient/family experience
Working Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10-hour days (730a-6p) in the Needham location, with ability to rotate to Boston/Longwood Clinic.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
BSN
Experience:
2-3 years pediatric nursing experience preferred.
GI experience preferred.
Licensure:
MA RN License
