MANTECH seeks a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused Program Security Officer 3 (PSO 3) to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
In this role, you will assist the Senior Program Security Director by providing high-level security support for a dynamic, multi-disciplined organization. You’ll engage with mission partners, contribute to policy development, and help safeguard vital national security interests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engage with the organization’s Policy and Security offices on data and technology sharing requests from both foreign and domestic mission partners
- Assist the Program front office and serve as the policy and governance lead for developing future classification guidance to be integrated into programs
- Interface with senior-level mission partners across the DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), and foreign entities
- Draft policy documentation in compliance with NRO standards
- Address security issues across multiple domainsincluding physical, personnel, operational, technical, information, industrial, and information system security
- Provide security assistance and guidance to defense contractors across all industrial security disciplines
- Domestic and OCONUS travel up to 25% may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma and 12 or more years relevant security experience or Associates and 10 or more years relevant security experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years relevant security experience or Masters and 6 years relevant security experience
- Proficiency in program protection (P2), risk management, and classification policy, as well as in the planning and execution of program security
- Experience with Controlled Access Programs (CAPs) and Special Access Programs (SAPs)
- Proven ability to deliver risk-managed security recommendations that support secure and successful mission execution
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing and managing complex, high-level security data independently and reviewing peer recommendations
- Ability to deliver clear, effective briefings and presentations to senior audiences, including high-level decision-makers
- Working knowledge and implementation experience with Intelligence Community Directives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in building strong working relationships with Government Agencies and mission partners
- Experience writing and templating policy documents
- Strong verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings
- Comfortable working with and briefing senior government personnel
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities frequently change
- Experience identifying and evaluating multiple sources to support classification decisions
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
