Mantech seeks a motivated and career-oriented Windows Systems Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD.
You will be part of a dedicated team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce that supports a wide range of national defense missions. This role directly supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organizationthe foundation of all Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) for MPO.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2/3 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Identify and resolve performance and capacity issues in Windows systems, and support hardware-related problem resolution and dispatching
- Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- Install operating system software, troubleshoot system issues, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule between 6:00am-6:00pm and may be assigned to an evening patching schedule
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. 5 additional years of System Administrator experience might be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- 14+ years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Experience with configuring, maintaining and modernizing a Windows OS environment
- Experience with patching Windows OS environments to meet security compliance requirements
- IAT II certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/ or SSCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with configuring, scripting, and managing Unix, and RHEL operating systems
- Familiarity with Scanboy
- Familiarity with JIRA ticketing system
- Familiarity with Enclave environments
- Familiarity with VMWare
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer desks
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
