Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
Start Date: 8/11, 8/18
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks per contract
Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
Blocking will be at the discretion of unit leaders.

Skills Required: Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias
Patient Diagnosis: Congestive Heart Failure, MI, Atrial Fibrillation/Atrial Flutter, Cardiac Dysrhythmias, Stroke/TIA, End Stage Renal Disease, Acute Kidney Failure, Seizures, COPD, Diabetes, COVID, Pneumonia, Encephalopathy, Altered Mental Status, UTI, Sepsis, Chest Pain, Hypertension
Special Equipment: Safe Patient Handling Equipment, Ceiling lifts in every room
Scrubs Not Provided: Caribbean Blue
No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.
Address must match DL when determining local status
Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
