Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

No license or background hits
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: MedSurg/Tele- joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive
Are RN’s required to titrate drips: Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: PCA pumps
Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Does the charge nurse take an assignment: Yes
RNs should have some tele awareness
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling Block scheduling ): Self scheduling. 0630-1900, 1830-0700 // Travelers will be scheduled. Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirements: 2-3 Holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years.
Floating Requirements: Yes to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed
Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided: RNs: Navy Blue
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 2 days
Additional Notes: Have mechanical lifts in every other room, Big focus on hourly rounding and responsiveness, This unit typically has multiple discharged and admissions in one day- a nurse is successful on this unit when they can manage the business of the day, have good attendance, are a team player, friendly, compassionate, and cares about patients first. They serve patients of all cultures on this unit including Spanish, Karen, Burmeese
Radius Rule: 50 miles and candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 12/25/2025, 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
