Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experiencedCardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C)to join our dynamic surgical team inTexarkana, TX. This advanced practice provider will work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and the surgical team to provide perioperative care with a focus onfirst assisting in the ORandendoscopic or open vein harvesting. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve asfirst assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG and valve surgeries

  • Performvein harvestingusing endoscopic or open techniques

  • Manage pre- and post-operative care in collaboration with the cardiothoracic surgery team

  • Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop treatment plans

  • Round on post-op patients in the ICU and on the floor

  • Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge plans

  • Document care and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Participate in call coverage as scheduled

Required Qualifications

  • Current Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas

  • NCCPA certification required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experiencein cardiothoracic surgery with demonstrated proficiency infirst assistandvein harvesting

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in high-acuity settings

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time, including shared call responsibilities
