Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:
Candidates who have 2+ years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered.

Med Surg Surgical and Oncology
Must have Charge nurse experience
Float as needed between 4 Central (16 beds) and 4 West (28 beds).
Shift: 6:45p - 7:08a
Schedule rotation is 3:1:3 but Hcp will be scheduled based upon need
Patient Types: General med surg, weakness, COPD, respiratory failure
Patient Population: Age range 21+
Required:
Minimum 18 months of acute care experience
Strongly prefer 400+bed or level 2 trauma experience
All RNs will be required to take and pass a “pre assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm Strip) test and RNs should be prepared, passing score is 80%
Patient Ratio - 1/6-7 (1/8-9 if LPN present)
IVS to Interview and Offer with 3 days or less RTO
All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies
No on-call
Weekend and holiday requirements
Hcp will be scheduled based upon need
No block scheduling.
No self scheduling
RTO requests must be on submission.
Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months
Orientation: Every Wednesday
Dress Code: Scrubs - color provided in UD
NMMC needs complete availability and flexibility with scheduling. This is non-negotiable
HCP is expected to maintain their contracted position at NMMC as the primary commitment above any other type of work.
1st week does not have guaranteed hours.
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Any reference type) - required for submission
