Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

ICU/PCU Float - Required
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Will be floated between 2 critical care and stepdown units
Patient Ratio: 1/2, at times 1/3 depending on acuity. 1/4 on PCU
Patient Types / Common Diagnosis: Cardiac patients post CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, respiratory failure
Critical Care experience - Required
RNs required to titrate drips - Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, precedex, propofol, cardene, nitro, neosynephrine, dopamine, etc
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Call: No
Expect to work either ICU or PCU with occasional floating to other departments if necessary
Dress Code: Scrubs - Navy Blue
Orientation: New Employee Orientation first week - orientation shift on each ICU and PCU
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 12/25/2025, 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
