Operating Room (OR)Cardiac Surgery
As a member of the perioperative team, theOR Cardiothoracic Nurseplays a critical role in the care of patients undergoing complex vascular procedures. This nurse works closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.

SCHEDULE:6:30 am - 3 pm; plus on-call requirement that includes nights and weekends
Sign-On: Up to $15,000
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:
Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
Minimum of 6 months of experience as a registered nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessment.Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family
Planning & Implementation.Develop and document plan of care, treatment, and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintain an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provide an exceptional experience for the patient and family
Evaluation & Education.Evaluate, communicate, and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities
Training.Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume the role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters

AS: Nursing (Required)
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE:
$38.22 - $50.96
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
