Job Description:
Supervise four direct reports overseeing programs in Damage Prevention, Stake-holder Engagement, Public Awareness, Air Patrol, and One Call dispatch. Act as the primary liaison with states one call 811 staff. Develop and update policies to enhance pipeline safety and public awareness.
Responsible for supervising the comprehensive implementation of Damage Prevention standards, including 49 CFR Parts 192.616, 195.440, RP API 1162, RP API 1185, CGA Best Practices, One Call Laws, and other pertinent Federal and State regulations.
Essential Functions
- Implement strategies for Damage Prevention, Public Awareness, Stake-holder Engagement, and Aerial Patrol Programs, ensuring their ongoing development and improvement.
- Assists in the development of responses to notices from State One Call 811 regulatory bodies concerning damage prevention and public safety matters.
- Offer strategic guidance and leadership to design and implement solutions aimed at enhancing the company's damage prevention measures.
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships with officials at state One Call 811 centers.
- Identify deficiencies in damage prevention and stake holder engagement program elements and implement improvements.
- Oversee damage prevention procedures and policies, manages the development and upkeep of company standards within the plan in compliance with federal and state regulations. Aligns locating practices with CGA standard processes.
- Investigates and documents damages. Analyzes data for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Advocate for the company in industry groups, governmental advisory committees, and public forums, 811 centers.
- Tracks Key performance indicators and metrics and communicates damage prevention and public awareness topics with company leadership and regulatory representatives.
- Develop staff professionalism and knowledge. Implement and complete departmental growth plans for the team.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, effective team-building abilities, and strong problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrates previous experience in leading professional staff and engaging with regulatory or governmental bodies.
Education Description: A bachelor's degree in a business or technical field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Experience
- Requires at least five (5) years of experience in oil & gas, with proven skills in line locating and/or damage prevention, public awareness, collaborator engagement.
- Experience in program development and management preferred.
- Two (2) years of progressive supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees).
