We are seeking a dedicated full-time Clinical Dentist to oversee 4th-year student rotations from
Touro University College of Dental Medicine at our Monticello site. In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive clinical supervision, mentorship, and ensuring exceptional patient care within a community health setting. Key Responsibilities: - Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to 4th-year dental students from Touro University College of Dental Medicine.
- Ensure that students are trained and guided to provide the highest quality of care to patients.
- Manage patient care, including conducting examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Oversee students during patient interactions, ensuring they meet the standards of practice.
- Maintain a patient volume that balances the care provided by both the students and the attending dentist.
- Participate in patient consultations and follow-up visits.
- Foster an educational environment where students can develop their skills in a real-world clinical setting.
- Collaborate with other dental and medical professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Provide clinical oversight while also treating your own patients, maintaining a manageable patient load.
Qualifications: - DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school.
- Valid dental license to practice in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
- Strong mentorship abilities and a passion for teaching.
- Experience in supervising dental students or residents is a plus.
- Commitment to community health and working with underserved populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
