Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead modernization projects within the Public Service Systems. This role demands a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, who can manage complex IT projects and ensure alignment with strategic goals. This will be a full-time contract opportunity and with a hybrid schedule in Annapolis.
What You'll Do
Serve as the primary point of contact for the County, advocating for client needs and ensuring vendor deliverables align with strategic objectives
Conduct thorough business process analysis, documenting existing workflows, and identifying areas for improvement
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Prepare project cost estimates and conduct cost-benefit analysis
Hold vendors accountable for contractual obligations, manage performance, and resolve issues promptly
Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, including IT teams and vendor representatives
Identify and mitigate potential project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues
Develop and implement change management strategies to support user adoption
Provide regular project status updates and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with end users to assess needs and improve workflow through implemented solutions
What You'll Need
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects, preferably in the public sector
Proven ability to analyze business processes and translate them into technical requirements
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to hold vendors accountable and manage contractual obligations
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience with large scale system implementations and change management
Bachelor's degree in project management, information technology, public administration, or a related field

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $62- $72 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this roleincludesmedical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law
