The Role

We are actively seeking a passionate, high-energy Senior Consultant to serve as a Testing Lead (QA Lead). The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise in Wealth Management, with a strong focus on quality assurance, functional testing, and ISO20022 standards. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive end-to-end testing strategies, ensure seamless integration across systems, and uphold the highest standards of quality in a fast-paced, agile environment. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and master test plans for complex wealth management systems and payment modernization initiatives, with a strong focus on ISO 20022 migration (Fedwire, SWIFT, CBPR, CHAPS to MX standards).
  • Define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of testing activities across various phases (e.g., functional, integration, system, regression, performance, UAT).
  • Lead the design and review of test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage of business requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 20022 message formats, data validation).
  • Apply deep knowledge of ISO20022 standards, including Fedwire, SWIFT, CBPR+, and CHAPS MX transitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans, acceptance criteria, and defect resolution strategies.
  • Act as the QA gatekeeper, ensuring all deliverables meet quality benchmarks before release.
  • Manage test environments, test data, and automation frameworks as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members.
  • Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle, including logging, prioritization, tracking, and resolution, ensuring timely closure of identified issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of QA engineers and testers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in quality assurance and implement robust testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Act as a primary point of contact for all QA-related activities, collaborating effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, development teams, and external vendors.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and go-no-go decisions, representing the QA perspective.
  • Proactively identify and assess testing risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure security and compliance testing is incorporated to adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements (ISO 20022, data privacy).

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Finance, or Business Analytics.

· 5-8 years of experience in Wealth management, with deep QA and functional / domain testing

· Experience with ISO20022 standards especially in payments and cash management

· Experience with Fedwire, SWIFT, CBPR, CHAPS transition to MX standards

· Experienced in agile methodologies and comfortable with both waterfall, agile and hybrid models

· Deep experience in QA function, acting as gatekeeper for the team.

· Deep understanding of Wealth data testing, end-to-end functional testing spanning multiple applications

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 USD- $130,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
