Summary:

  • The Aircraft Technician at the GSO Service Center operates within a certified FAR Part 145 Repair Station.

  • Responsible for performing assigned maintenance tasks, inspections, functional and operational checks, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs of airframe and powerplant systems and components using approved methods, techniques, and practices.

  • Document all work performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and Repair Station/Quality Manual procedures.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with maintenance tools, equipment, and techniques specific to aircraft service.

  • Identify, protect, and preserve components and parts in accordance with RSM/QCM standards and company procedures.

  • Ensure all installed parts, materials, and products meet applicable regulatory and quality requirements.

  • Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

  • Provide detailed shift turnovers when maintenance tasks are incomplete at the end of a shift.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • A&P License required under 14 CFR Part 65 (from a FAR Part 147 school).

  • Experience working in a FAR Part 145 Repair Station.

  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 43 required; familiarity with Parts 91, 135, and 145 preferred.

  • Prior experience maintaining general aviation and/or corporate aircraft.

  • Proficiency with maintenance software (e.g., Quantum, Corridor, SAP) and Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and inspection protocols.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Capable of interpreting work orders, blueprints, diagrams, and maintenance manuals.

  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel with short notice as needed.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
