Summary:
This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates with a High School Diploma or GED.
Previous experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, or tools used in upholstery or carpet trades is preferred.
Under moderate supervision, you will fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors, following engineering drawings and FAA specifications.
Perform upholstery installation and trim tasks in compliance with work order instructions and specifications.
Fit and install panels, cabin headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and windows.
Cut, surge, and install carpets; create carpet patterns based on design drawings.
Fabricate and install metal parts and panel coverings.
Use material tracking systems to create part demands, track squawks, and document work.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic math and measuring skills; ability to read blueprints and engineering documents.
Familiarity with sewing machines, sergers, or upholstery tools preferred.
Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in confined spaces.
Must be computer literate and fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
