Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
BJC policy: Every other weekend required.
RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Must have applicable Med/Surg experience.
Orientation Hours: 40

Weekend REQ: Every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs
Special Requirements:
- Medicine: colorectal surgery, respite, hospice, oncology med (no chemo certified needed), Post-Operative / Surgical: short length of stay: ortho, GU, plastics, cosmetics, bariatric, minimally invasive
- Does not require experience with ALL diagnosis, do not have to read telemetry
Special Procedures/Unit: Nurses draw own labs, Phlebotomy required.
Scrub Color: navy scrubs (top, jacket & bottom)
RTO must be on the submittal
No RTO the first week of an assignment.
Amount of RTO: please, no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, HIGHLY encouraged - (for Float pool, 7 days RTO max - hard rule)

Return Staff Policy:
Permanent employees at must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.
All Standard Travelers (reside outside of a 75-mile radius) can stay for an 18-month period. Must take a 3-month break after 18 months.
