ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD. The team delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. This effort is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO’s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities Included but are not limited to:

  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.
  • Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Review and provide input program and contract work breakdown structure, (WBS), work packages and the Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
  • Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Twenty (20) years’ experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automation Experience
  • Scripting Experience
  • General Cloud Understanding
  • Previous DevOps Experience
  • Python and PowerShell Experience
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages (Terraform or BICEP)

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
