Responsibilities – Service Manager:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the automotive service department
- Supervise, train, and support service advisors, technicians, and support staff
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction scores
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Maximize department profitability through effective labor and parts sales strategies
- Monitor service KPIs including repair order count, hours per RO, and CSI scores
- Enforce compliance with manufacturer policies, warranty guidelines, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with parts and sales departments to ensure smooth internal processes
- Implement continuous improvements to increase efficiency and service quality
- Maintain accurate records of all repair orders, estimates, and invoices
- Ensure the service department remains clean, organized, and OSHA compliant
Qualifications/Requirements – Service Manager:
- 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Manager or similar leadership role
- Proven ability to lead high-performing service teams in a dealership or auto repair setting
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures and service operations
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Proficient in using dealership management systems
(CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting department goals and targets
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
