Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wyoming license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >25 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
All ppw due Wednesday at noon MST the week before start.
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Shifts start 645am and 1845. Do allow block scheduling. Manager would like someone to work Sun, Mon, Tues for night shift. Willing to be flexible. Do allow self scheduling.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - 4 weekend shifts a month. Night shift is Friday and Saturday. If the traveler blocks for Sun Mon Tues - the weekend requirement would not be required.
Holiday Requirement: Does not have specific needs for Holidays - but could be possible if there is a need. Wants flexible travelers
Call or a Standby requirement: On call has been done sometimes. They have an on call system and if they are on call they can be called in at any point. On call pay is lower than regular pay. This is for low census. They follow the call schedule by dates - unless it is requested.
Floating Requirements: Float to the inpatient units - Tele, surgical ortho neuro, medical unit, etc. Would be required to take care of the medical patients and not the specialty patients. Floating frequency varies. Floating rotation with the perm staff.
Required Certifications: RQI (done during orientation) this is the equivalent of a BLS. They will need to do the RQI regardless. Takes about 15 minutes.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pretty typical medical patients. Not looking for an oncology nurse. Looking for medical nurses. COPD, psych, detox, oncologic emergencies (neutropenic fevers), blood transfusions, failure to thrive, falls, everything you would see on a medical unit.
RNs are required to titrate drips.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin. Fentanyl. Travelers are not required to do Chemo.
Scrub Color: Navy blue - as long as you are professional.
