Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
RNs only: Cannot have a license that is on probation, suspended, or has board proceedings that are pending.
Travel pairs are not supported - each clinician must apply and receive an offer separately
Weekend Requirements: Every other
Holiday Requirements: Must be available for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays and 2 out of 3 summer holidays.
Floating Required To Acute Care Division including to ICU/PCU to take med-surg assignment. Float 1st but in rotation with the other travelers. Travelers could float to 2 units in a 12 hr. shift.
Nurse Patient Ratio by shift: 1:4 for telemetry, 1:5 med-surg
A3 is a Med Surg unit, post surgery ortho unit; Bariatric surgery and GI surgeries (including ostomies) are the primary general surgery types. Special precautions with peripheral nerve blocks in the post-op total knee and hip replacements. May have some medical patients. No telemetry monitoring. Pulse oximetry monitoring, PCA, and epidural management.
Patient Population (Diagnoses): Post-op general surgery and orthopedic patients. Bariatric surgery and GI surgeries (including ostomies) are the primary general surgery types. Special precautions with peripheral nerve blocks in the post-op total knee and hip replacements. May have some medical patients. Pulse oximetry monitoring, PCA, and epidural management.
Certifications Preferred: CMSN, BC
Scrubs/color: Any color. No denim. Professional appearance.
