Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Every third weekend (Saturday/Sunday) Weekend Hours: 1800-0630, every 3rd weekend
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Call Requirements: No
Float Requirements: float between the three Med/Surg units in Lafayette
Previous Travel nurse with Epic experience
Must Have Skills/Experience: Previous travel Med/Surg experience, telemetry, Epic use.
Preferred Skillset/Experience: general and ortho post-op care, managing Heparin drips, blood administration
Type of Patients on Unit: Ortho and general surgeries, back surgeries, GI issues, renal, oncology, general medical
Scrub Color: navy blue
Any unacceptable attire: non-Franciscan sweatshirts or jackets. No facial piercings.
Additional Details: Prior to the 1st day there are CBTs that need to be completed before attending clinical orientation. If Epic has been used within a year, there is an opportunity to test out of further Epic education. My Educator will reach out with this info Thursday or Friday before Monday’s start date.
5 days maximum time off
