Shift: 4:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Contract RN/LPN team members are expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education as we prepare future nurses for the profession. The clinical nursing student education responsibility is expected in addition to/alongside the provision of clinical care practice in every nursing specialty at Ballad Health.
PCU competencies preferred.

Patient Diagnoses: Ortho/Neuro (2200 only; pref.), post-surgical (infectious & non-infectious), bacteremia, sepsis (2100 only; pref.), altered mental status, heart failure, renal failure (hemodialysis & PD), electrolyte abnormalities, diabetes, GI bleeds, endo (pre/post op), etc.
BLS, ACLS, PALS - RQI accepted
7 days maximum time off
2 references from any number of months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
