Unit Description: The Pediatric Palliative Care program is looking for a compassionate nurse with pediatric experience, who is looking to have an impact on children and their families, while providing goal-oriented care and support. Pediatric Palliative Care provides comprehensive interdisciplinary care to children with life limiting illness and their families with a focus on enhancing quality of life, improving comfort, and optimizing function. We work to care for the child’s body, mind, and spirit, while supporting the goals of the child and their families.
This position will also support our High Tech program.
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
- Associate's degree in nursing required bachelor's degree preferred
- Completion of a Pediatric Palliative Care Education Curriculum (within 1 year of hire).
- Completion of an approved Greif Counseling Course (such as Talk VT) within 1 year of hire.
- Current BLS and or ACLS Certification (must be maintained).
- Minimum two or more years working directly with the pediatric population and related home health/hospice or high-tech nursing experience
- Demonstrates self-reliance and the ability to make informed decisions while providing in-home care.
- Demonstrates cultural competence by respecting and understanding the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of patients and families.
On-call: Not required currently, however there could be a need in the future.

- Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
