Department: Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab
Shift: 7 day a week 1st shift support

Your Mission:
Perform echocardiograms
You’ll operate ultrasound equipment to perform both routine and advanced heart scans: transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), stress echocardiograms, pediatric echos, and even emergency scans.
What You’ll Do:
Capture diagnostic data
During each scan, you'll evaluate blood flow, chamber sizes, valve function, and hemodynamicsensuring the resulting images are high-quality, precise, and clinically useful.
Assist in complex procedures
If a cardiologist is performing pericardiocentesis or TEE in a special case, you'll support themhelping with image acquisition and possibly assisting in set-up .
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, rreferred. Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred.
- Experience:One year of relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduates will have 6 months to pass registry), required.
- Additional Skills Required:
- Ability to effectively operate sonographic equipment.
- Ability to evaluate echocardiogram in order to acquire appropriate diagnostic information.
- Ability to shift workload to meet patient needs.
- Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum echocardiogram information in each examination performed.
- Ability to follow established departmental procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations.
- Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of echocardiography interpretation, echocardiography skills, and considerable echocardiography abilities.
- Communication skills and sensitivity to patient needs.
- Ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
