Overview:
As a Registered Nurse at Novant Health, you will be a vital leader within the healthcare team, building authentic, personalized relationships with patients and their chosen support systems. You will collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote optimal health or support a peaceful end-of-life experience.
Utilizing the best scientific evidence combined with compassionate care, you will guide patients through their health journey with dignity and respect. As a Registered Nurse, you take responsibility, authority, and accountability for delivering and managing care in accordance with Novant Health’s policies and procedures.

Unit Specifics
50-bed Medical-Surgical unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6
Typical shift rotations lasting 4-6 weeks
Participation in holiday teams for fair rotation
Work schedule includes every other weekend coverage
Self-scheduling with 6 weeks’ advance planning

Qualifications:
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course
- Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
