Your Mission:
A Student Radiology Tech II at Novant Health typically assists with diagnostic imaging procedures while gaining hands-on clinical experience under supervision.

What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Support:
- Assist registered radiologic technologists with general diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays).
- Prepare patients for exams and ensure comfort and safety.
- Position patients properly for imaging while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Equipment Handling:
- Operate radiologic equipment under direct supervision.
- Clean, maintain, and set up imaging rooms and equipment.
- Workflow Assistance:
- Help with patient transport and documentation.
- Input patient data into PACS or electronic medical record systems.
- Support front desk or clerical tasks when needed.
- Learning & Development:
- Actively participate in educational activities to meet clinical competency requirements.
- Demonstrate progression in skills and independence as appropriate for the level (Tech II indicates a more advanced student stage).
- Compliance & Safety:
- Follow Novant Health policies, HIPAA guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Use proper techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.2 Year / Associate Degree,preferred. Successful completion of two semesters in an accredited Radiography Program and currently enrolled in the Radiography Program in 2nd Year, required.
