Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 22 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Oncology Experience Preferred But Not Required
Weekends - variable based on unit needs
No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
Patient Age group: Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Colon Cancer, Esophageal Cancer, Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy
Special Procedures/Unit Details: 17 James cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis, through treatment, and also assisting with transition to end of life care. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls, Cares for patients that have true med surg issues.
Skills Required: Telemetry Interpretation, Telemetry monitoring
Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units
Special Equipment: B450 monitors GE telemetry system, Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds
RTO required with submission
Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
