What this job involves: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general and specific maintenance of the office and warehouse buildings, grounds, and building systems at a global healthcare company that provides pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and data solutions. You will serve as the primary vendor contact for maintenance and repairs while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Performing routine preventative maintenance inspections on equipment and machinery
  • Completing minor plumbing repairs and miscellaneous equipment repairs
  • Using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders
  • Documenting completed maintenance tasks in CMMS and filing paperwork
  • Conducting daily housekeeping duties
  • Checking email for communications from management
  • Handling assigned work orders and special projects
  • Ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Maintaining compliance with state, county, and city regulations
  • Participating in technical, safety, and operational training programs
  • Following both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed policies and procedures
  • Identifying safety hazards and proposing solutions

Work Schedule:

  • Standard shift: 8AM-4:30PM
  • Hours may change for special projects and client business needs

Desired or Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Experience in distribution/warehouse environment

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
  • Physical capability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, and stoop frequently
  • Ability to climb ladders with 300-lb weight limit while carrying a 20-lb tool bag
  • Capacity to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with body, arms, and legs
  • Strong visual and auditory acuity to identify and diagnose problems
  • PIT/Forklift Certification (training will be provided and is mandatory)
