Job Description
We are looking for a SharePoint Developer to create and customize SharePoint sites and applications to meet organizational needs.This position will be a full-time, 6 month W2 contract and is hybrid.
What You’ll Do
Create and customize SharePoint sites and applications to meet organizational needs
Build web parts, custom workflows, and integrate with other systems
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SharePoint environments
Ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of issues
Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts and project managers
Gather requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives
Monitor and optimize SharePoint performance
Identify and resolve technical issues
Use debugging tools and techniques to ensure minimal downtime
Implement security measures
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
Provide training and create documentation for users and administrators
Facilitate effective use of SharePoint solution
What You'll Need
Required:
Knowledge of the principles, best practices, methods, and techniques used in designing and developing modern SharePoint sites
Knowledge implementing SharePoint sites for a variety of small and large format output devices such as tablets and smartphones, including responsive design techniques
Experience with administration of SharePoint hubs, pages, sites, and site collections, and an in-depth understanding of out-of-the-box SharePoint functionality; experience with SharePoint Online a must
Experience using SharePoint document libraries for document management, including implementation and maintenance of taxonomies and metadata
Experience with SharePoint development, such as custom form development using Microsoft Forms, PowerApps, or workflow development using Power Automate
Preferred:
Familiar with the County’s structure and services; familiar with departments and their operations
Ability to self-motivate, manage, and perform personal daily activities and multiple major projects
Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations at various levels
Ability to use diplomacy in dealing with difficult customers and delivery of services
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with peers and others
Ability to communicate with tact, patience, and courtesy at all levels of the organization
Ability to assist personnel with training of innovative technologies
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships, both inside and outside of the work section
Ability to self-develop relevant job-related skill(s) for current and future roles
Ability to identify, to take ownership of, and to troubleshoot and solve major problems
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
