Business Strategy, Policies and Tools
Primarily responsible for the compliance to the Americas Region Security standards, Track and monitor compliance throughout the region. Analyze new and existing projects, scope, bids. Identify and track security GAPs program. Maintain and support the security advisor's community in terms of content, communication and technical support. Assist the field with technology issues related to security equipment. Develop training, and audit process.
Assist with regulatory requirements with agencies such as FDA related to Food Defense
Aviation Security
Gather and analyze data regarding Third Party, FDA, and customer audits
Counsel Security Advisors in the field on security awareness to facilitate Global Security Manual compliance and audit readiness
Ensure investigations and audits maintained; analyzes issues on a monthly basis and initiates appropriate corrective action
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, rules and laws as well as all Company policies and procedures, e.g., TSA Regulations regarding aviation security
Execute employee recognition programs and awards
Correspond with customers and agencies regarding penalties, fines, and investigations
Liaise with HR on background checks according to the AVSEC program requirements
Administer all aspects of OnGuard security system to include system maintenance and backup
Act as an internal consultant by providing input and guidance regarding security policies; assist with implementation of policies and procedures pertinent to security for the security manual
Create Security related publications/communications
Loss Prevention
Counsel Americas Region Headquarters (ARH) and Operations Vice Presidents, General Managers and HR Directors/Managers regarding Loss Prevention policies and procedures as well as investigations.
Ensure compliance with all applicable polices, rules, regulations and laws; stay abreast of legal regulatory and policy developments affecting areas of responsibility; enforce legal and regulatory requirements impartially
Develop, implement and maintain management training initiatives that ensure Company compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, along with HR’ policy.
Oversee the investigation of internal and external complaints with regard to charges of theft and loss prevention practices. Research and respond to external complaints by gathering information to support the company's position regarding theft and loss prevention and attempt conciliation. Work in conjunction with the Legal Department and/or Corporate Counsel as applicable
