Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced Trauma Registered Nurseto join ourcutting-edgeteamin the role ofRNTrauma Nurse Lead,to report to theTrauma Program Director and provide direct nursing carein accordance withestablished policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by the facility and the Trauma Service.We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.
What you will do in this role:
You will assess, plan, implement ,evaluateand coordinate treatment plans for incoming trauma patients.
You willdemonstratestrong trauma clinical assessment skills, nursing intervention andstrong communication/leadership skills.
You willbe responsible fortrauma bay readinessand coordinating/triaging all incoming trauma patient activations.
You will review and evaluate all activations for triage-level appropriatenessandassistwith admission consultations as directed by the primary trauma surgeon.
You will respond to in-house trauma patients’critical needsandfacilitatepsychosocial support.
You will mentor ED andin patient nurses caring for trauma patientsandassist in training and in-servicing needs.
What qualifications you will need:
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in thestatewhich you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
Certifications neededwithin 30 days of hire:BLS,ACLSandPALS.
TNCCCertification isrequired within 6 months of start date.
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing:Associate's Degree in Nursingor higher isrequired,BSN or MSN Preferred.
One or more years in direct trauma resuscitation nursing care delivery.
